Gary Williams joined Long & Associates in January 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Gary worked with another local firm for five years. Gary owned his own firm from 2002 through the end of 2012 serving the tax and accounting needs of small and medium-sized businesses and the entrepreneurs who own them. Gary gained his ability to assist businesses and owners through the over thirty years of experience as a CPA. Most of Gary’s tenure has been focused on assisting small and medium-sized businesses and the entrepreneurs who own them to reduce taxes and improve cash flow. Gary has also worked with a variety of small to mid-sized regional CPA firms both here in Indiana and in New Jersey. Gary has worked with businesses, individuals, estates and trusts as well as not-for-profit entities to help them reach their goals. Gary completed the work on his Master of Science Degree in Taxation (MST) through Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. The Master of Science degree is a graduate level course of study focused in the area of taxation of corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts as well as individuals. In addition to these, the master’s degree program includes in depth study of key tax concepts, research along with business expenses, deductions and credits. Gary’s undergraduate education in accounting came from his studies at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Gary and his wife, Dana, are the proud parents of three children, two boys and a girl. Gary serves as Treasurer for Operation Find and Feed a Not-for-Profit organization in Indianapolis serving the needs of the homeless community. Gary Also volunteers his time to the Indianapolis Great Banquet, a group that hosts 5 (72 hour) weekend retreat type events each year. In his spare time, Gary enjoys cycling and participate in several group rides each year.
